◆ Becoming a Werewolf
Drink Werewolf Spit
Harry the Wolf Serbule Keep

The Werewolf (Lycanthropy) skill is gained by drinking Werewolf Spit, spittle contaminated with the Lycanthrope disease. Harry the Wolf in Serbule Keep can point you toward it.

⚠ This is a permanent character alteration. Drinking it makes you a werewolf instantly and forever. There is no cure, ever.

Harry will not deal with the werewolf process while you are in an animal / beast form. If you are currently a cow, deer, pig, spider, giant bat, or any other beast form, talk to him as a normal humanoid instead. He ignores animals.

Once cursed you can shift to wolf form at will, but to return to humanoid form you must first kill a number of enemies. Lycanthropy levels and abilities are then trained as described below.

◆ How It Works

Once you have the Werewolf skill, your Werewolf progression runs on a monthly full-moon cycle:

› During the full moon, the Werewolf Altar activates in the Wolf Cave (Kur Mountains).

› The altar offers the "Wolf:" quests. Each one you complete grants 1 Token of Norala.

› You spend tokens at the altar on temporary buffs and permanent unlocks.

› Unspent tokens vanish when the full moon ends, so spend before it closes.

◆ The Full Moon & The Werewolf Altar
Werewolf Altar
Wolf Cave · Kur Mountains 🌕 Active during the full moon only Storage (SoulMates favor)

The altar sits deep in the Wolf Cave in Kur Mountains. It is dormant outside the full moon and comes alive once the full moon arrives, at which point it offers the Wolf quests and the token shop.

It also functions as a storage vault (reaches full access at SoulMates favor), and you can permanently expand that storage with tokens.

Check the Moon page or the game clock for the current phase and when the next full moon lands.

◆ Tokens of Norala

› Earn 1 token per completed Wolf quest.

› Each Wolf quest has a 7-day reuse timer, so the same quests come back around each full moon.

› Temporary power-ups last until just before the next full moon. Permanent purchases (abilities, Dark Wolf Form, storage slots) stay forever.

› Two places spend tokens (often written NT): the Werewolf Altar in Wolf Cave (buffs, Lv 55 to 70 abilities, Dark Wolf Form, storage) and Jenny Foster in the Statehelm Sewers (Lv 91 to 100 abilities and the shrinking collar). Both are only reachable during the full moon.

Unspent tokens disappear when the full moon ends. Spend them right away.

◆ Wolf Quests

All require the Werewolf skill and must be completed while the full moon is active. Each rewards 1 Token of Norala and then asks you to talk to the altar. 7-day reuse on each. A ↳ chained quest only appears once you have completed the quest above it. Browse them all on the Quests page ›.

◆ Werewolf Trainers

Werewolf is a combat skill. Lower tiers are bought from trainers for Councils; the high tiers also require Royal Jelly. Many mid-level abilities can instead be unlocked permanently at the altar for tokens (see above).

Jenny Foster sits in the Statehelm Sewers and is only available during the full moon. She handles the top of the tree: the cap unlocks are paid in Councils or Statehelm Renown, but the abilities are bought with Norala Tokens (NT), and most cost 0 NT once you meet the skill requirement.

◆ Shrinking Your Wolf

Werewolf form is large. If you want a smaller, less imposing wolf, there is a piece of jewelry for that.

Dog Miniaturization Talisman
Statehelm Jewelry · collar

"A collar to make large dogs smaller and less scary to some individuals." Worn by werewolves to shrink their wolf form down to a more manageable size. It is a Subtle accessory, so it occupies a jewelry slot without altering the look of your gear.

Two ways to get one:

Jenny Foster in the Statehelm Sewers barters it for 5 Norala Tokens (at Close Friends favor). Her words: "I use one of these when I need to seem less scary... these dog things work on us!"

Benjy in Statehelm can give you one through conversation (no tokens), but Benjy is a territorial, magic-using puppy guarding "his" school, and it plays out as a confrontation: keep calm and do not antagonize him. Choose the aggressive replies and he cripples your legs with a Word of Power and you lose favor, with no talisman.
