Becoming a Warden, the Sacred Grotto, Warden Alerts, Warden Points, abilities, trainers and skill caps for the Warden skill.
⚡ Warden on the Skill page ›Warden is the secret skill of the Wardens — protectors of the wild animals of Alharth. It is not trained openly. First you must reach Friends favor (or better) with one of the animals who can vouch for you: the Suspicious Cow in Eltibule, Red in Kur, or Norbert in Animal Town, Sun Vale.
They point you toward a quest chain that ends at the hidden Sacred Grotto:
› 1. The Sacred Grotto Password → 2. The External Resource Coordinator → 3. The Warden Test → 4. Return to the Sacred Grotto
Step 1 hands you the door: it is set into a hillside northwest of the ravine in central Kur, northeast of Fox Outpost. Knock and give the secret pass phrase —
Finish the chain, speak with Milton in the Grotto, and choose "I am up to speed" to be sworn in as a Warden.
The Grotto is reached through the animal world, so a beast form helps you move among its residents.
Wardens wield electricity-based powers — jolts, shocks and stun traps — in service of the animal kingdom. Once sworn in, progression runs on a simple loop:
› The Grotto issues Warden Alerts: short "cull the threat" missions in a named zone.
› Completing an alert earns Warden Points (plus favor, and Vervadium in higher zones).
› You spend Warden Points at the Sacred Grotto on ability upgrades and animal goods.
› Skill levels are lifted the usual way — XP from using the skill, with caps unlocked by trainers.
The Grotto is the Wardens' hidden lodge and the hub of the skill. Milton takes your Warden Points for ability upgrades and animal wares. Barnaby is the favor-giver whose good graces raise your Warden XP and unlock the lower skill caps. Tangle handles ability training.
All three live in the Grotto, so one trip covers alerts, spending and training.
› An alert asks you to kill 12–15 creatures of a named kind in a named zone — a threat to the animals the Wardens protect.
› Each completed alert pays Warden Points. Higher-level zones also grant favor and Vervadium.
› Alerts refresh on a timer, so they can be run repeatedly for a steady trickle of points.
› The skill was designed to eventually deactivate a Warden's powers if no alert is answered within a lunar cycle, but that penalty is not currently enforced — skipping alerts costs you nothing today.

Warden Points are the skill's own currency, earned from alerts and spent in two places.
